We're hiring a licensed Journeyman (or Master) Electrician to join our field team. Pay:
$30-$40 an hour base pay, plus bonus and spiff pay. After your initial 90-day training period you become eligible for bonuses, and as you ramp up and hit performance targets you also become eligible for commission — so your earnings grow with your results. No nights or weekends — Monday to Friday, 8-hour days. Take-home company vehicle with a company-paid gas policy. What you'll do You'll run service calls for residential homeowners across Southeast Michigan — diagnosing, installing, maintaining, and repairing home electrical systems to a standard that meets or beats National Electrical Code. Day to day, that means: Responding to homeowner service calls and troubleshooting malfunctioning systems, components, and equipment to find the root cause and fix it right. Inspecting electrical systems for hazards, defects, and code compliance — including whole-home safety inspections and main panel inspections. Installing, servicing, and replacing residential electrical work: wiring and rewiring, panel upgrades, appliance and EV charger circuits, GFCI outlets, switches and dimmers, recessed/accent/indoor/outdoor lighting, ceiling fans, arc-fault and surge protection, and smoke/CO detectors. Estimating jobs accurately using the company price guide. Building rapport with homeowners and recommending the right services for their needs. Completing paperwork and collecting payment as directed. Documenting your work in our field service software (Service Line). Keeping your vehicle clean, stocked, and organized, and showing up clean and well-groomed. Taking part in team training and meetings. What you needRequired Current Michigan Journeyman or Master Electrician license. High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Comfortable lifting 50-75 lbs and working safely on ladders and roofs, indoors and out, in heat and cold. Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Preferred 5+ years in the electrical trade, troubleshooting and repairing residential systems. Prior residential service experience. Strong customer-service and communication skills, and genuine interest in a customer-facing role. Self-starter who's reliable, coachable, and works well solo or on a team. Where you'll work You'll cover Saturn Electric's Southeast Michigan service area, primarily across Oakland and Macomb counties — including Rochester, Troy, Royal Oak, Birmingham, Sterling Heights, Lake Orion, Clarkston, Shelby, Utica, and surrounding communities.
