POSITION

The Shiawassee RESD is seeking an instructor in Career and Technical Education (CTE) Electrical (CIP 46.0301 Electrical and Power Transmission Installation) to teach high school junior and senior students interested in pursuing a career pathway as a residential or commercial electrician. In addition, the instructor will teach students other professional skills, such as, but not limited to: leadership, teamwork, ethical and legal responsibilities, and safety. This program runs Monday through Friday. This position is fulltime from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Qualified part-time candidates will be considered. Salary of $46,611 - $87, 587 is Commensurate & Dependent on Education/Experience and FTE or PTE status

QUALIFICATIONS

• Journeyman Electrician (or equivalent) who qualifies for an Annual Career Authorization (ACA).
• An ACA requires documentation of 4,000 hours of recent and relevant work experience over the past 10 years.
• Demonstrated experience and expertise as a Journeyman Electrician.

All potential instructors are subject to a Michigan and FBI criminal history check and a drug screen.
