In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems on a variety of machine tools and industrial equipment. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of machinery, minimize downtime, and uphold safety standards across our production facilities. Responsibilities Install, wire, and troubleshoot electrical components on machine tools using schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Maintain and repair electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage circuits. Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing devices to diagnose electrical issues accurately. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to ensure proper installation and repair procedures. Perform preventive maintenance on machinery to prevent unexpected breakdowns and optimize performance. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement upgrades or modifications to existing equipment. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations including NEC guidelines, low voltage protocols, and construction site safety standards. Document all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities thoroughly for record keeping and compliance purposes. Experience Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong background in machine tool maintenance. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used for automation control systems. Familiarity with construction site work, renovation projects, and blueprint reading for electrical systems. Knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals specific to manufacturing environments. Experience working with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems in industrial settings. Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, along with power tools for installation and repair tasks. Ability to read technical schematics and blueprints accurately; handyman or frame carpentry experience is a plus. Prior construction or renovation experience on commercial or industrial sites is highly desirable.
