What they do

An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Job Description

Sheridan is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support production equipment and facility operations. This is a 2nd shift role (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) with consistent weekday hours and a rotating on-call schedule. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience in a manufacturing environment.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Rotating on-call weekends (minimum 2 hours paid if called in)
Pay:
$23.00/hour or higher, depending on experience + additional $1.00/hour shift differential
What You'll Do:
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns. Maintain, alter, rebuild and adjust equipment and facilities to include fabricating parts and assemblies. Follow up on and study recurring facility-oriented failures in an effort to find solutions. Attend to RTU air conditioners, filter changes, wash condensers, tighten belts. Maintain an inventory of supplies and materials necessary for the operation of the building and manufacturing. Wood working projects.
What We're Looking For:
We are open to candidates from a variety of industrial maintenance environments, including manufacturing outside of print.
Requirements include:
High School diploma or GED required. 2+ years of mechanical technician experience in a manufacturing environment. Mechanical aptitude. Understand Lock-Out-Tag-Out.
