Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic electrical team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute projects. Perform electrical diagnostics to identify faults or inefficiencies within complex systems such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high-voltage wiring. Ensure all work adheres to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards and local electrical codes for safety and compliance. Conduct routine maintenance on electrical equipment and systems to prevent failures and optimize performance. Troubleshoot electrical systems using testing devices such as ohmmeters and multimeters; document findings clearly for future reference. Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects to install wiring, conduit, panels, and other electrical components according to blueprints. Requirements Valid Journeyman Electrician license with proven experience in industrial and commercial electrical work. Extensive experience working with industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and industrial control panels. Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately. Hands-on experience with troubleshooting complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and circuit testers. Ability to work safely following all electrical safety procedures; familiarity with lockout/tagout protocols is essential. Experience working on construction sites involving renovation or new installations; familiarity with construction safety standards is preferred. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, power drills, wire strippers, conduit benders, and other essential equipment. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently under pressure.
