Maintenance Controls Electrician Location:
Archdale, NC Pay Range:

Above all, safety is our highest priority. Position Summary Future Foam is seeking an experienced Maintenance Controls Electrician to join our maintenance team in Archdale, NC. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment to maximize uptime and production efficiency. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, experience with industrial controls and PLCs, and the ability to work independently while supporting team projects. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Electrical Technology preferred 2-5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience preferred Experience with PLCs and industrial control systems Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, drawings, and specifications Working knowledge of control platforms used in foam cutting equipment, including CNC/VCC, Baumer, F&K, and Sitola (preferred) Basic PC skills, including familiarity with IP networking Experience troubleshooting electrical control circuits Ability to wire and troubleshoot 480-volt motors and industrial equipment Experience inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, disassembling, and reassembling industrial machinery Welding and metal fabrication experience is a plus, but not required Essential Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, and control systems on manufacturing equipment Complete preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), such as MaintainX, to document maintenance activities and equipment history Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime Communicate maintenance status, equipment issues, and repair progress with supervisors and production personnel Assist with equipment installations, relocations, upgrades, and engineering projects as needed Inspect, clean, lubricate, disassemble, and reassemble equipment during repairs, relocation, or storage Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and communicate ongoing equipment needs between shifts Follow all company safety policies and environmental compliance requirements Take ownership of assigned projects from planning through completion Work independently while collaborating effectively with maintenance, engineering, and production teams Work overtime or extended hours as needed to support equipment repairs, installations, or production requirements Physical Requirements This position requires frequent physical activity, including: Standing and walking for extended periods Climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching Lifting, pulling, and moving equipment and materials Working in a manufacturing environment around moving machinery Benefits Future Foam offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Contribution Paid Holidays Paid Vacation Health Savings Account (HSA) Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance Company-Paid Life Insurance Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Pay:
$31.00 - $35.00 per hour Application Question(s): 1. Do you have an Associate's degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Mechanics, or a related field? 2. Do you have 2-5 years of experience working with industrial motors, electrical controls, and 480V equipment? 3. Do you have experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment, including following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and other industry safety standards? 4. Are you able to accurately read a tape measure (to at least 1/16") and perform basic shop math? 5. Have you participated in the installation, startup, or commissioning of new manufacturing equipment? 6. Have you assisted with relocating, reinstalling, or commissioning manufacturing equipment? 7. Are you willing and able to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as production needs require? 8. Do you have experience troubleshooting or programming CNC equipment or CNC-controlled machinery? 9. Do you have 2-5 years of experience troubleshooting automated production equipment? 10. Do you have experience diagnosing and repairing industrial gearboxes, including determining the root cause of failures? 11. Which PLC platforms have you worked with? 12. Can you read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings? 13. Are you comfortable troubleshooting 480V three-phase electrical systems? 14. Do you have Basic welding and metal fabrication experience? 15. Do you have 2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience?
