The Watson Energy division was developed approximately ten years ago with the focus on providing superior electrical service. Our client list is a who's - who of institutions demanding excellence from their electrical contractor. Watson Electrical has been an industry leader for over 80 years in the electrical construction industry, serving customers throughout the Carolinas and Virginia. Spanning 11 different locations, Watson Energy has created a service team to provide advanced electrical solutions and services for major corporations.

General Summary:

Watson Supervisors oversee and directs the assignments and safety of service personnel, performs various inspections and resolves problems related to service installations, additions and/or repairs of customers' electrical systems. They coach, supervise, and staff a team of service technicians as well as effectively communicates with customers. Watson Energy Supervisors lead their team by example.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize workflow and ensure employees understand their duties and perform them to Watson standards (Safely, Accurately, Efficiently)
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and team members to ensure satisfaction, quality, timeliness and long-term recommendations for future work.
  • Approach new and existing customers and negotiate directly with them. Customers are owners and end-user clients.
  • Accurately appraise and survey electrical systems and/or components, and make recommendations for necessary modification/repair/replacement
  • Interpret drawings, equipment, and job conditions.
  • Work with cost estimating software such as Accubid.
  • Estimate the cost of proposed modification/repair/replacement electrical work.
  • Ascertain a potential customer's needs by asking them appropriate questions.
  • Develop innovative and creative solutions for solving technical problems.
  • Coach/direct when needed: how to Install, repair, and maintain electrical components and systems.
  • Utilize technology such as computers and tablets, be proficient with MS Office Suite.
Requirements:
  • Must have a strong work ethic with an emphasis on safety.
  • Past achievement and success in selling and executing electrical modifications/repairs/replacement services (non-residential) and managing projects through completion
  • You must have excellent organizational skills and ability to follow through on assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision or with a team to complete projects on time.
  • Must exhibit good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Must be able to physically meet the requirements of the job: travel, lifting, bending, etc.
  • Applicants must be able to pass a pre-hire drug screening test and background check.
  • Have a valid Driver's License and good driving record.
