Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovation and construction sites to ongoing maintenance of complex electrical systems. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards and local electrical codes. Diagnose electrical faults within complex systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high-voltage circuits. Maintain compliance with electrical safety procedures by following established protocols during all phases of installation and repair work. Work on construction sites or renovation projects, collaborating with other trades such as frame carpentry or general contractors to ensure seamless project execution. Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to complete electrical wiring tasks efficiently while ensuring quality workmanship. Requirements Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with strong industrial and commercial electrical background. Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics accurately. Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), local electrical codes, and safety standards for high-voltage installations. Experience working with industrial electrical systems including troubleshooting complex issues involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems. Ability to perform high-voltage wiring safely in accordance with industry standards. Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers; power tools; ohmmeters; and other diagnostic equipment. Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments while maintaining safety protocols. Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting electrical systems efficiently. Valid electrician license or certification as required by local jurisdiction; ongoing commitment to staying current with industry standards. •Local or Traveling?
