You will play a vital part in keeping our fleet running reliably by overseeing the upkeep and restoration of complex locomotive electrical systems. If you possess a strong technical aptitude for electrical diagnostics and an interest in rail transportation, we invite you to apply. Core Duties Examine, evaluate, and fix locomotive electrical parts and circuitry. Identify electrical faults to help ensure the fleet remains operational and reliable. Execute scheduled maintenance tasks to keep electrical systems in peak condition. Work alongside engineering staff and fellow technicians to improve overall locomotive functionality. Document all service and repair work thoroughly for accurate record-keeping. Keep current with evolving safety protocols and industry-wide technical standards. Apply specialized diagnostic hardware to pinpoint and resolve electrical complications. Required Skills and Experience Completion of high school or GED; a technical certification or degree in electrical studies is highly valued. Demonstrated background in electrical work, with a preference for those with rail industry experience. Deep understanding of electrical circuitry, wiring schematics, and diagnostic methodologies. Competency in analyzing and applying technical documentation and schematics. Strong analytical capabilities and a meticulous approach to identifying issues. Effective interpersonal and collaborative skills to foster a productive team environment. Flexibility to accommodate varying shifts, including holiday and weekend work requirements.
