An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Job Description

Position Overview:
Installation and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment
Essential Job Functions:
Install Industrial Electrical & Electronic equipment, set-up and install electrical panels, sub panels, calculate load requirements for wiring and Breakers panels and related equipment, Diagnose A/C and D/C drives and related equipment, design and install control circuits and devises to upgrade machinery, basic PLC diagnostics and programing. Install and up keep of networking cabling. Design and install conduit systems for related wiring. Voltage range from 110 to 600 VAC 3 phase, control DC voltages.
Education and Experience:
  • 1 years minimum with three phase electrical wiring
  • Basic PLC operation and programing
  • Experience calculating electrical system load related to machinery installation
  • Experience with NEC code book and application
  • Experience reading Schematics and blueprints related to electrical and electronic application
  • 1 year diagnostics and trouble shooting for, motor, PLC, electrical circuitry,
  • Natural Gas burner controls and burners experience a plus

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
