Electrician

Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician to join our dynamic team. This energetic role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including commercial, industrial, and construction sites. As an Electrician, you will play a vital part in ensuring electrical safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards such as the National Electrical Code (NEC). Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to accurately execute installation and repair tasks. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete electrical work on construction sites or renovation projects. Test electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues related to low voltage or high voltage circuits. Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and local electrical codes for safety and quality assurance. Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, and other tradespeople to coordinate installation activities during building projects. Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent failures and extend equipment lifespan. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and parts used for accountability and future reference. Assist in troubleshooting complex electrical problems on industrial or commercial sites using schematics and technical manuals. Requirements Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings; construction site experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of NEC standards, low voltage systems, high voltage wiring, and safety protocols. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems. Hands-on experience with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools including drills and saws; as well as specialized testing equipment like ohmmeters. Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces while adhering to safety regulations. Knowledge of renovation processes involving electrical upgrades or rewiring projects. Construction site experience demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under deadlines. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to troubleshooting electrical issues. Valid electrician's certification as required by local jurisdiction; handyman experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
