Job Description

Journeyman Electrician and Team Lead Peak Automation & Electrical is looking for an experienced, dependable North Dakota licensed Journeyman Electrician who is ready to take ownership in the field and lead by example. We are not simply looking for someone who can perform electrical work. We need a strong team lead who can be trusted with a crew, communicate expectations, make sound decisions in the field, and ensure work is completed safely and correctly. Our goal is to provide leading edge Automation, Instrumentation, Controls, Programming, Measurement, and SCADA Development throughout the Bakken and surrounding areas.
What We Are Looking For:
The right candidate is someone others can rely on. You should be confident working independently, capable of leading and developing apprentices and other team members, and willing to take responsibility for the quality and productivity of your crew. We are looking for someone who: Shows up consistently and can be counted on Leads by example and holds the team to a high standard Has strong electrical and NEC knowledge Communicates effectively with employees, supervisors, customers, and other contractors Can organize work and provide direction without constant supervision Takes ownership of problems and works toward solutions Understands that leadership means developing the people working alongside you Prioritizes safety, workmanship, accountability, and professionalism Responsibilities Lead and provide direction to apprentices and other electrical team members Install, service, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, controls, power distribution, and related equipment Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and customer requirements Identify electrical requirements for heat tracing and other industrial electrical systems Plan and coordinate daily field work to keep projects moving efficiently Ensure work meets applicable electrical codes, company standards, and customer expectations Troubleshoot field issues and make sound decisions with minimal supervision Maintain a safe and organized jobsite Communicate project progress, concerns, material needs, and field conditions with management Help train and mentor apprentices while maintaining accountability within the crew Perform additional electrical and field leadership duties as required Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Current North Dakota Journeyman Electrician License Strong NEC and electrical code knowledge Demonstrated leadership and communication skills Ability to independently manage field responsibilities Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to successfully complete required drug screening Industrial, oilfield, automation, controls, instrumentation, or Bakken experience is preferred What Peak Offers We believe dependable people should work for a company that invests in them.
