Job Description

Nebraska or reciprical Electrical License is required. Benefits and retirement Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Responsible for assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial settings. Prepares work area for installation of equipment. Installs or helps install electrical components. Connects wiring and equipment as per code and job specification. Operates equipment only if trained and certified to operate. (
Note:
Powder activated tools, and JLG lifts and other operations that may require certification and training before operating). Sets up and operates tools such as hydraulic benders, power threaders, power pullers and cable vacuum systems. Be able to read blueprints and electrical drawings and install as specified. Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances per drawings or plans. Secure and lock up equipment after use. Journeyman Trade Certification in a related construction trade will be considered highly desirable. A proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget. Excellent working knowledge of the Building Codes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
4+ years' experience as a construction electrician (Journeyman) Valid State Driver's License Reliable transportation Good attendance and punctuality required Must be self-motivated and willing to work from descriptions and blueprints Experience and proficiency running electrical conduit with precision expertise Must have layout capabilities Must have a good attitude and be willing to work with other craftsmen Must be hard working and have the drive and determination to complete the task at hand Must be dependable and willing to complete the project at hand from start to finish
Environment:
Works out of a field office at the construction site, monitors respective craft phases of the construction project, may travel when not assigned to a construction site, usually entails temporary residence away from primary residence. Expected to deal with delays, the effects of bad weather, or emergencies at the site. Although the work usually is not considered inherently dangerous, must be careful while performing onsite services.
