Job Description
- Traveling Low Voltage Electrician
- Job Description
- This role focuses on installing, testing, and maintaining low voltage systems at a variety of client sites, including audio/video and paging systems. You will work extensively with data cabling and low voltage electrical infrastructure, contributing to the setup of cable racking, data closets, and related equipment in commercial and institutional environments.
- Responsibilities
- + Install and test audio/video systems and paging systems at client sites.
+ Pull cables through floors, walls, ceilings, and ductwork to support low voltage systems.
+ Dress, label, and terminate a wide range of cables, including CAT5, CAT6, fiber, coax, AV wire, fire alarm, security, and access control cabling.
+ Install and terminate racks, cable trays, patch panels, cabinets, MDF/IDF equipment, workstation outlets, and perform firestopping as needed.
+ Perform cable pulling, testing, and termination for category cabling to ensure reliable data connectivity.
+ Run and bend conduit, install cable trays, and complete electrical wiring associated with low voltage systems.
- Essential Skills
- + At least 2 years of cable pulling experience in low voltage environments.
+ Proficiency in pulling, dressing, labeling, and terminating CAT5 and CAT6 cabling.
+ Experience with cable installation, including fiber, coax, AV wire, fire alarm, security, and access control cabling.
+ Ability to install and terminate racks, cable trays, patch panels, cabinets, MDF/IDF equipment, and workstation outlets.
+ Skill in conduit installation, including running, bending, and securing conduit for low voltage cabling.
+ Strong understanding of electrical wiring principles related to low voltage systems.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Experience with access control systems is a plus. + Experience with CCTV systems is a plus. + Exposure to building automation systems is beneficial. + Experience in construction labor and low voltage installation work.

- This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $21.
00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
