Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Electrician or apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both commercial and residential settings, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to read plans. This role requires proficiency in using various power tools and equipment, as well as knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC). The Electrician will work primarily on construction sites, ensuring that all electrical installations and repairs are performed safely and effectively. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial buildings. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of electrical systems. Use a variety of power tools and equipment safely and efficiently. Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter. Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on-site. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become problems. Provide guidance to apprentices or less experienced electricians as needed. Qualifications Proven experience as an Electrician in commercial or industrial settings. Familiarity with low voltage systems is a plus. Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately. Experience with frame carpentry is beneficial but not required. Proficient in using various power tools safely and effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team on construction sites.
