Job Title:
Electrician Mechanic Job Description The Electrician Mechanic will support warehouse ground-up construction projects by installing, bending, and routing conduit, wiring lighting and control systems, and performing troubleshooting and inspections. This role involves working with overhead and underground conduit, installing light fixtures and switches, and operating lifts and tools safely in accordance with OSHA standards. Responsibilities Install and bend electrical conduit, including pipe bending up to one inch, to support new construction and warehouse ground-up projects. Run and secure overhead conduit and underground conduit according to project specifications and electrical codes. Install and wire overhead light fixtures, ensuring proper mounting, connections, and functionality. Install and wire three-way switches and other switching devices using wiring diagrams and blueprints. Pull, route, and label wires accurately to support circuits, panels, and equipment connections. Wire and assemble control and panel boxes, including terminations, labeling, and verification of connections. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and motor control schematics to plan and complete electrical installations. Use troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and resolve electrical issues in circuits, controls, and equipment. Operate scissor lifts and other equipment to perform overhead work safely and efficiently. Use hand tools, power tools, and inspection equipment to install, secure, and verify electrical components. Perform inspections of installed electrical systems to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with applicable standards. Follow OSHA 10 safety practices and site safety procedures at all times while on the job. Essential Skills Experience bending conduit and pipe up to one inch for electrical installations. Hands-on experience with overhead conduit and underground conduit installation. Proficiency in installing and wiring overhead light fixtures and three-way switches. Ability to pull, route, and label wires accurately for various electrical systems. Experience wiring control and panel boxes, including terminations and labeling. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and motor control schematics. Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical systems, controls, and equipment. Proficient use of hand tools, power tools, and inspection equipment for electrical work. Ability to operate and work safely from a scissor lift for overhead installations. OSHA 10 certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working on warehouse ground-up construction projects. Familiarity with inspection practices for verifying electrical installations. Comfort working with both control wiring and power distribution wiring. Attention to detail in labeling, routing, and documenting electrical work. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeton, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
