401(k) matching Employee discount Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Job description: We are looking for an experienced generator installation technician to undertake a variety of tasks relating to the installation of manual and automatic standby generators and transfer switches. Your job will involve installing electrical wiring in buildings and outdoors, installing generators, transfer switches, electrical services for residential and commercial customers. Due to the high amount of risk pertaining to this job, electricians must be first and foremost responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions. The ideal candidate must be experienced in generator systems with preference to Generac models. Most installations will involve residential air cooled automatic standby generators. Responsibilities Execute plans of electrical wiring for well functioning standby power systems. Install generators, transfer switches and associated equipment. Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, circuit-breaker panels etc.) Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them Skills Proven experience as an electrician Experience in residential and commercial (new and old work), generators Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work overtime Clean driver's license This job is with an independent Generac dealer and not for employment with Generac Power Systems, Inc.
