Job Overview HEI, Inc. is a well-established, locally owned company seeking a dependable, quality-focused licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our Electrical Department. We are looking for an experienced professional who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship, maintaining a safe work environment, and contributing to the success of our team. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical installation experience, the ability to read and interpret construction drawings, and a proven track record of working effectively on commercial and industrial electrical projects. Candidates with Foreman or Lead Electrician experience are highly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and electrical drawings Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable electrical codes and company standards Coordinate work activities with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades Lead and mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site Complete projects efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship Identify and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner Qualifications Current New Mexico Journeyman Electrician License (EE98J) required 5+ years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician Foreman or Lead Electrician experience preferred Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods, and industry best practices Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Dependable, hardworking, and self-motivated Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Current and valid driver's license Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Effective verbal and written communication skills Willingness to work extended or irregular hours when project needs require Knowledge of the Albuquerque area is a plus Benefits Health Insurance
