In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, local codes, and the National Electrical Code (NEC). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites and renovation projects, utilizing your comprehensive electrical experience to deliver high-quality results efficiently and safely. This position offers quarterly bonuses based on the gross profit (GP) percentage of each job completed by the journeyman. Duties Install, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems in commercial and renovation settings using schematics and blueprints. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to execute precise electrical installations. Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose issues and verify system integrity. Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring proper setup and safety protocols are followed at all times. Collaborate with construction teams on framing carpentry and other related trades to coordinate seamless project execution. Maintain compliance with NEC standards while performing electrical upgrades or new installations on construction sites. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or failures before they escalate. Demonstrate handyman skills for minor repairs or adjustments needed during project progress or maintenance phases. Requirements Valid Journeyman Electrician license with proven experience in electrical work. Extensive hands-on experience with industrial electrician tasks including PLCs, schematics reading, low voltage wiring, and high voltage systems. Strong knowledge of NEC regulations, blueprint reading, and electrical code compliance. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment essential for troubleshooting. Construction site experience with a focus on renovation projects and new installations in commercial settings. Ability to interpret technical schematics and blueprints accurately to guide installation processes. Experience working safely around high voltage systems while adhering to strict safety standards. Skilled in using power tools efficiently for framing carpentry or general construction tasks as needed. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with handyman experience for minor repairs or adjustments on-site.
