Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Innovative Electric is seeking a high-level Lead Electrician (Technician 2) to run industrial and commercial electrical projects in the field. This role is responsible for leading crews, executing complex installations, interpreting prints, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification. You are the point of accountability on-site owning execution, quality, and productivity.

OBJECTIVES
Leadership & Execution Lead crews and assign daily tasks Maintain productivity, pacing, and job flow Mentor helpers and junior electricians Advanced Conduit Installation Measure, cut, bend, and install EMT, rigid, IMC, and PVC conduit Install conduit systems along walls, ceilings, racks, and underground Execute complex conduit systems (parallel runs, large-scale layouts) Plan routing for efficiency and code compliance Wire & Cable Systems Oversee large feeder pulls and cable tray installations Manage conductor routing in industrial environments Terminations Perform and oversee terminations in: Switchgear MCCs (Motor Control Centers) Transformers Ensure torque specs and manufacturer requirements are followed Prints & Layout Read blueprints and conduit layouts Interpret one-lines, schematics, and full drawing sets Plan layouts and adjust for real-world conditions Industrial Work Execute work in plants, factories, and complex environments Coordinate with other trades (millwrights, pipefitters, etc.) Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and fast-paced installs
COMPETENCIES
Advanced conduit bending and system layout Strong leadership and crew management Deep understanding of NEC and industrial standards High-level problem-solving and decision-making Blueprint mastery (one-lines, schematics) Accountability and ownership mindset
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
4-10+ years electrical experience Proven ability to lead jobs and crews independently Industrial and commercial experience required High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Valid Driver's License; Reliable Transportation Submission to Background;
Drug Screens Preferred:
Experience with medium/high voltage systems Experience running large-scale projects
