Job Description

Position Description:
Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a Dewatering Electrician to join Open Pit Operations Team.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Dewatering Supervisor, the Dewatering Electrician is responsible for the following: Safely and effectively perform daily monitoring and maintenance of the dewatering system to include the mine site, Dean Ranch and the North and South Infiltration Basins Maintenance and electrical installations of large horsepower submersible equipment Maintenance and repair of all dewatering electrical installations Provide electrical support for all dewatering electrical installations Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Ability to support work group in attainment of safety, environmental, equipment protection and production goals with a proven safety record r equired Ability to operate various equipment such as boom truck, forklift and loaders preferred Electrical trades experiences in a mining or manufacturing environment required Basic electrical aptitude with troubleshooting electrical systems required Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft software required; read and understand work orders preferred Must furnish own tools and meet electrical trade required tool list required Basic aptitude to read, understand and troubleshoot wiring diagrams preferred Demonstrated ability to perform essential functions of the job required Capable of working without direct supervision, follow instructions and provided feedback as required Ability to accomplish strenuous physical labor under all weather conditions required Lift at least 50 lbs. required Proven safe work record with belief and value seen in courageous leadership model required Ability to be an initial team member in a growing, fast paced environment, and support team in attainment of safety, environmental, equipment protection and production goals with a proven safety record required Housekeeping standards are maintained to a high level required Good written and verbal communication skills required What We Can Offer You A comprehensive compensation package including bonuses benefits, and stock purchase plans where applicable Ability to make a difference and lasting impact Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team An Opportunity to transform Traditional Mining into the future of Digital Mining Opportunities to grow and learn with the industry colleagues are endless Access to a variety of career opportunities across Nevada Gold Mine locations Nevada Gold Mines is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer About Nevada Gold Mines Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.
