Job Description

Sierra Controls, LLC is a PCIS and SCADA Integrator specializing in water measurement and control systems for public works, irrigation, hydroelectric, and other water distribution systems. Sierra Controls provides turnkey water control systems ranging from design services to manufacturing, installation, and preventative maintenance. Our customers are mostly located in Northern Nevada, the Sierra Mountains, and the Central California areas. Sierra Controls is actively looking for an Installation Technician to work from our Reno NV location and service our Nevada and Central CA markets. The successful candidate will have experience in installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting electrical systems. This includes following and implementing a conduit schedule, wiring, and troubleshooting field instrumentation. It also includes general construction management.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical installation, field troubleshooting, installation of field measuring devices, and installation of solar technologies. Support project commissioning and startup from the field. Work with Sr. Engineers, Field Engineers, and Project Engineers to provide a quality experience for our customers and successful integration to meet each customer's electrical controls and SCADA needs. Develop and maintain good customer and Sierra Controls team member relations. Support multiple concurrent electrical SCADA projects as well as the ability to directly respond to Service needs of existing systems. Provide field and shop electrical system testing and commissioning. The job requires the incumbent to be in the field a majority of the time. Overnight travel can range up to 50%.
Requirements:
2+ years experience working in a construction field, electrical experience preferred. Detail-oriented, organized, and professional Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
