Salary Range:

$30.00 To $34.00 Hourly Position Summary The Equipment Maintenance technician performs repairs physical plan equipment in an industrial recycling environment. Duties include diagnosing and repairing all mechanical and electrical maintenance issues associated with maintaining production machinery and equipment throughout the facility.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Installs and repairs control panels and associated components, motor control circuits, building and lighting circuits.
  • Diagnoses electrical systems, circuit breakers and low voltage power distribution systems, AC/DC motors, PLC and VFD drive systems.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems of the production and physical plant equipment.
  • Reads electrical/mechanical and schematic drawings to maintain equipment in a safe working manner in accordance with appropriate codes and ordinances.
  • Repairs and maintains mechanical equipment, air compressors, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, gear boxes, and air handler units.
  • Operate shop machinery, drill press, laths, milling machine and hand tools.

PLC troubleshooting and problem solving ability with practical, mechanical and electrical aptitude

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Prior experience working with conveyors preferred

Valid driver's license

Mechanical or trade school certificate preferred

Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
