Full Job Description About Sapphire Companies Sapphire Companies LLC is a commercial electrical contractor specializing in grocery retail construction, remodels, service upgrades, lighting retrofits, refrigeration power distribution, emergency power systems, and complex commercial renovations. We are seeking an experienced Electricians for a national grocery retail store remodel project scheduled from July 26, 2026 through November 13, 2026. This position is for one specific project; however, Sapphire Companies performs commercial electrical work nationwide. Strong performers who are interested in continuing with Sapphire may have the opportunity for ongoing travel work after this project is complete. Position Summary We are looking for a highly skilled commercial electrician to provide technical leadership, code oversight, troubleshooting, and field support on a grocery retail remodel project. The ideal candidate has strong commercial electrical experience, understands NEC requirements, can work with inspectors and project teams, and is comfortable supporting remodel work in an active commercial environment. Primary Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and specifications.
  • Support installation of feeders, branch circuits, conduit systems, panels, lighting, controls, equipment connections, and distribution equipment.
  • Coordinate electrical work related to refrigeration, HVAC, lighting, emergency systems, and other grocery-retail systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and help resolve field conflicts efficiently.
  • Verify NEC compliance and assist with inspection readiness.
  • Coordinate with project managers, foremen, inspectors, general contractors, customers, and other trades.
  • Promote safe work practices, quality workmanship, productivity, and jobsite organization. Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in the following areas are strongly preferred:
  • Grocery retail remodels
  • Big-box retail, supermarket, or national retail construction
  • Remodels in occupied or active commercial facilities
  • Service upgrades and electrical renovations
  • 208V and 480V power distribution systems
  • Switchgear, panels, transformers, and distribution equipment
  • Lighting controls and energy-efficient lighting systems
  • Refrigeration electrical systems
  • Emergency power systems
  • Multi-state commercial construction Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of commercial electrical experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, specifications, one-line diagrams, and construction documents.
  • Experience supervising electricians or providing field leadership on commercial projects.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel and work away from home for the duration of the project.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. Compensation & Benefits Sapphire Companies offers a competitive compensation package for experienced commercial electricians.
  • $28-$40 per hour, based on experience, licensing, and qualifications
  • Two weeks of paid time off earned annually

  • $50 per day per diem for each day worked at least 4 hours, provided the employee meets Sapphire Companies' travel policy requirements, including residing more than 70 miles from the project
