Key Responsibilities Installation:
Install electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in commercial and multi-family construction environments.
Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine the layout and proper installation of electrical systems.
Code Compliance:
Ensure all electrical work strictly adheres to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant local building and safety codes.
Testing & Troubleshooting:
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair.
Site Safety:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all OSHA and company safety protocols.
Team Collaboration:
Work effectively alongside other trades, project managers, and general contractors to meet project deadlines. Provide guidance and mentorship to electrical apprentices when required. Qualifications Valid state or local Journeyman Electrician certification (or equivalent experience). Strong knowledge of current electrical codes, safety procedures, and OSHA standards. Proficiency in bending conduit, pulling wire, and installing complex lighting and power systems. Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces or at heights. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Skills (Optional but a plus) Experience installing and programming specialized systems (e.g., Lutron lighting controls, fire alarm systems like Gamewell-FCI or Edwards).
