An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Job Description

- Hourly wage of $38.77/hr to $45.00/hr (depending on experience, skills and education)
- Full-time position with guaranteed hours for job stability
Schedule:
Monday to Friday from 7:00am- 3:30pm (day shift) or 3pm
- 11:30pm (afternoon shift) or 11pm
- 7:30am (overnight shift) and on call one week out three (3) in rotation.
Weekend schedule:
Friday to Sunday from 6am- 6pm and Monday 6am-10am.

- help grow the team and get rewarded What you'll do As a Industrial Electrician, you'll be at the heart of operations
- right on the floor where materials take shape.
Your day-to-day:
- Maintain, repair and or install electronic and instrumentation equipment pneumatic controls and hydraulics
- Ensure the safe installation, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment
- Calibrate, adjust and program instruments and control devices for automated systems
- Assist and operate various machinery and equipment with electrical aptitude
- Willing to work in a team environment and independently. Your strengths as a Industrial Electrician You are a natural fit for this role if:
- Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical/Instrumentation
- Previous work experience 3-5 years in manufacturing (Paper Industry is an asset)
- Rigorous ability to work autonomously and take initiative
- Must be willing and flexible to do overtime for coverage even on short notice
- Must be willing to participate in team work to do procedures health and safety work teams and any other problem-solving projects
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs in a stretching manner Position involves lots of physical work including lifting bending climbing steps and standing for extended period of time, depending on work schedule
- Must be able to work at heights above 20ft Aerial lifts
- Must be able to be on call for emergencies on a rotation
- Experience with programming and ability to wire PLC digital/analog input and output
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley AC Drives, ABB Drives.
- Knowledge of Hart Communicator, transmitters (flow, level, pressure)
- Knowledge of boiler systems
