Job Title:
Electrician Job Description This role focuses on residential electrical work across multiple homes in the East Hampton area. You will install and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, and conduit, while interpreting blueprints and following safety standards on active job sites. Responsibilities Install and run NM (Romex) and MC cable in residential properties. Set, secure, and properly position electrical boxes according to specifications and codes. Install, wire, and test outlets, switches, and related electrical devices. Bend and install EMT and other types of conduit to route wiring safely and efficiently. Pull wire through conduit and other pathways while maintaining organization and safety. Read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings to complete installations accurately. Follow OSHA safety standards and site-specific safety procedures at all times. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area on each job site. Use personal hand tools and equipment properly and safely to complete daily tasks. Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members to coordinate work. Essential Skills Proven residential electrical experience with an emphasis on home installations and renovations. Ability to install and run NM (Romex) and MC cable in various residential environments. Proficiency in setting and securing electrical boxes to meet code and project requirements. Hands-on experience installing outlets, switches, and related electrical devices. Skill in bending and installing EMT and other conduit types for residential applications. Capability to pull wire through conduit and other routing systems safely and efficiently. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics. Minimum OSHA 10 certification or equivalent safety training. Ownership of appropriate electrical hand tools and basic equipment required for daily tasks. Professional appearance and conduct suitable for occupied residential settings. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing work to a high standard. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while staying on schedule. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and site leads. Reliable transportation to travel between multiple residential job locations in the East Hampton area. Strong understanding of residential electrical codes and best practices. Why Work Here? A neat, professional appearance is expected to reflect well in residential settings. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sag Harbor, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
