Job Description

Electrical Installation Technician
  • Machine Builds We are currently seeking candidates with electrical installation and testing experience in an industrial setting for an Electrical Technician position with a well-established manufacturing company in the Uniontown/Akron area.
In this position, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems and components while building custom engineered production machines for the tire/rubber industries.
Shift:
6:00am
  • 4:30pm Monday
  • Thursday 6:00am
  • 2:30pm Friday (overtime)
Pay:
$20.00
  • $26.
00 per hour, based on training, skills, and experience
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, fixtures, and components Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment; connect cables and wiring between machines Diagnose electrical malfunctions using test equipment and hand tools and perform necessary repairs Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors, and sensing devices Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and repair needs Replace electric motor bearings and rewire motors as needed Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters Assist other departments as needed to support production and operational goals
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent Technical degree or electrical certification preferred, but not required At least 6 months of related electrical or industrial experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Basic math skills including fractions and decimals Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
