JUST IN TIME

is looking for an Electrical Technician for a facility in Akron. The primary responsibility of this position is to install, repair, test, and maintain electrical systems and components on industrial machinery and equipment . This role involves working with both standard RJS equipment and custom-built machinery . Proper electrical configuration and wiring are critical to the quality and operation of RJS products.

Schedule:

6am

  • 4:30pm MON
  • THUR. FRI
  • 6AM•2:30PM PAYS $20•$26 HR Based on experience.
Overtime:

May be available during the week and on weekends as needed. Essential Duties Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring and equipment. Connect power supply wires, cables, and wiring between machinery and equipment. Diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing equipment and hand tools. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and components. Replace faulty relays, switches, motors, and sensing devices. Inspect electrical systems and equipment for hazards, defects, and needed repairs. Replace electric motor bearings and rewire motors. Test circuits and electrical systems using equipment such as: Ohmmeters Voltmeters Oscilloscopes Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics . Maintain a clean and organized work area. Return tools and equipment at the end of the workday. Assist other departments as needed. Qualifications & Skills The ideal candidate should have: Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience. Experience working with industrial machinery. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Knowledge of electrical wiring and components. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Experience using hand and power tools. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn and develop new skills. Good attendance and reliability. Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team. Commitment to safety and PPE requirements. Education & Experience Technical degree or certification preferred, but not required. At least 6 months of related experience , or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Use hands and arms to handle tools and equipment. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regularly lift up to 10 lbs . Frequently lift up to 25 lbs . Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs . Have good close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus. Work Environment Industrial manufacturing environment. Exposure to moving mechanical parts. Potential exposure to electrical shock hazards . PPE and safety procedures must be followed at all times.
