MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE

1. 1 year of experience in the construction field performing work in a commercial/residential setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE

1. Completion of educational curriculum from a trade or vocational school. 2. License or certification of at least one of the following construction disciplines: Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, or

HVAC. CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Must have basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing skills as identified below:

• Framing with metal studs
• Measuring, cutting, hanging drywall
• Finishing drywall by taping, sanding and applying a finish
• Framing and hanging doors
• Installing electrical conduit and pulling wiring
• Installing a variety of electrical devices and safely terminating connections.
• Installing and hanging HVAC ductwork and devices
• Roughing in and installing new plumbing fixtures, valves, supply, drain and vent lines
• Installing different types of flooring materials.

2. Must be capable of reading and interpreting construction drawings and detailed specialty equipment installation specifications. 3. Must be knowledgeable of safe construction practices. 4. Must be knowledgeable of Life Safety codes 5. Must be knowledgeable of Infection control practices as they relate to construction and renovation work in the hospital environment. 6. Must be capable of interacting with all levels of employees

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to read blueprint drawings and specifications. 3. Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds.
