An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
:EXPERIENCE
1. 1 year of experience in the construction field performing work in a commercial/residential setting.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
:EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE
1. Completion of educational curriculum from a trade or vocational school. 2. License or certification of at least one of the following construction disciplines: Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, orHVAC. CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Must have basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing skills as identified below:- Framing with metal studs
- Measuring, cutting, hanging drywall
- Finishing drywall by taping, sanding and applying a finish
- Framing and hanging doors
- Installing electrical conduit and pulling wiring
- Installing a variety of electrical devices and safely terminating connections.
- Installing and hanging HVAC ductwork and devices
- Roughing in and installing new plumbing fixtures, valves, supply, drain and vent lines
- Installing different types of flooring materials.
