An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. Job Description

About Us Chase Electric is a licensed electrical contractor serving the Dayton area with residential, commercial, and industrial work. We're an authorized Generac dealer, and standby generator installations are a growing part of our business alongside service upgrades, panel work, and commercial power distribution. We run a small crew, which means you'll have real ownership of your jobs, direct access to the owner, and no layers of management between you and a decision. What You'll Be Doing Residential service work: 200A and 400A service upgrades, panel replacements, troubleshooting, remodels, and additions Generac standby generator installations — pad prep, feeders, transfer switch wiring, gas coordination, and commissioning Light commercial and industrial: branch circuits and feeders, EMT and rigid conduit, lighting retrofits, transformer and disconnect installations, machine power hookups Reading and working from prints, one-lines, and panel schedules Trenching, underground conduit, and outdoor/site lighting work Working directly with customers on service calls in a professional, clean, respectful way Keeping work compliant with
NEC 2023
as adopted by Ohio, and passing inspection the first time What We're Looking For 4+ years of electrical experience at a journeyman level, or a completed apprenticeship Solid grasp of the NEC and the ability to size conductors, breakers, and grounding without hand-holding Comfortable running a job from start to finish with minimal supervision Valid driver's license and clean driving record Own hand tools Able to lift 50+ lbs, work from ladders, and work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoors year-round Reliable, on time, and takes pride in neat work Bonus Points For Generac or other standby generator installation experience Local journeyman card 480V three-phase experience Pay & Benefits $25-$50/hour based on experience with overtime available Paid Holidays Health insurance Simple Plan retirement Company vehicle Consistent year-round work with a growing company
