As a Skilled Electrician (Electrician A) , you will be a member of the department's operating team and will be responsible for operating/using complex electrical tools, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment. Pay Range:
$35.78 to $45.14 Starting Pay Rate dependent on the candidate's level of education, skills/abilities, and job knowledge/experience. You will have the opportunity to: Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems and equipment. Work from circuit diagrams and SOP's, when available, and recommends alterations to Lead Electrician or other appropriate departmental personnel. May be asked to assume duties of Lead Electrician when absent. Recognize operational irregularities on equipment of processes, accurately determines the cause and takes appropriate corrective actions. Assist Lead Electrician with providing training to other departmental personnel/apprentices/co-ops/2YD.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have a High School Diploma or GED. 2-year degree in electrical controls or electronics. Must have 2 years of Industrial Electrician experience. Must have completed at least five years of industrial electrical maintenance work or relevant military experience. A completed approved four-year apprentice program will also be considered. Shift work is mandatory. HP The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
