Job Title:
Commercial Electrician $120/day worked per diem if you are 75 miles or greater from sitePay:
up to $34/hr. 5,10s roughly 4 months of work, could go longer This role supports the electrical installation and build-out of a new commercial construction project in Lima, OH. You will work as part of a growing crew to install conduit, lighting, and power systems, while reading and interpreting blueprints and performing troubleshooting and repairs as needed. Responsibilities Install and route ¾" to 1 ½" EMT conduit in accordance with project specifications and electrical codes. Install, wire, and terminate light fixtures, outlets, and related electrical devices for a new commercial build-out. Read, interpret, and work from blueprints and electrical drawings to complete installations accurately and efficiently. Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems and components during construction. Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and site standards. Use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment safely and effectively to complete daily tasks. Coordinate and communicate with crew members and site supervisors to plan work, resolve issues, and meet project timelines. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all site safety protocols and procedures. Document work performed as required and report any issues, delays, or material needs promptly. Support other electricians and team members with tasks as the crew ramps up from a smaller to a larger team. Essential Skills At least 2 years of commercial electrical experience on new construction or commercial build-out projects. Proficiency installing ¾" to 1 ½" EMT conduit, including bending, routing, and securing conduit to code. Experience installing and wiring light fixtures, outlets, and other standard commercial electrical devices. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings to complete installations correctly. Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting and repair in a commercial setting. Strong knowledge of commercial electrical practices, standards, and safety requirements. Ability to work full days on a commercial construction site and perform physically demanding tasks. OSHA 10 certification held previously or the ability to confirm prior OSHA 10 training. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience on large retail or similar commercial projects. Familiarity with industrial electrical environments in addition to commercial work. Comfort working as part of a small crew that may expand over the course of the project. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions and work independently when needed. Reliable transportation to and from the job site in Lima, OH. Willingness to work occasional Saturdays if added to the schedule. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based on a commercial construction site in Lima, OH, focused on a new retail build-out. The standard schedule is five 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.), with the potential for additional hours and occasional Saturdays depending on project needs. You work as part of a crew that will grow from a small team of 2-3 electricians to as many as 6-8 as the project ramps up. The environment is traveler-friendly and offers a daily per diem for each day worked. Work is performed on an active construction site with typical conditions such as noise, dust, and outdoor exposure, and you will regularly use standard electrical tools and equipment while following all site safety rules and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lima, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr.
