Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems within industrial environments. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of complex electrical machinery and systems, supporting our commitment to operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, including new installations, renovations, and ongoing maintenance of industrial electrical infrastructure. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage controls. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system setups. Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults and determine solutions swiftly. Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards, NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes to maintain safety and regulatory adherence. Conduct routine maintenance on industrial electrical equipment and systems to prevent downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Work safely by following electrical safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols and proper handling of high-voltage electrical wiring. Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new project phases, utilizing blueprint reading skills and schematics for precise installation. Qualifications Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician with a strong background in industrial electrical systems installation and maintenance. Commercial electrician experience is highly desirable for versatile project support. Knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes is essential. Skilled in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, reading blueprints/schematics, and interpreting technical diagrams. Proficient in working with high-voltage electrical wiring, low-voltage control systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and power tools. Ability to read electrical schematics accurately and perform detailed wiring tasks on complex systems. Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving industrial or commercial facilities. Familiarity with hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing devices. Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Additional handyman skills or frame carpentry experience can be advantageous for versatile troubleshooting or minor structural adjustments.
