Full Job Description Position:
Electrician, 1st
Shift Qualifications:
5 years' experience in machinery panel building and machine wiring. Must be able to read electrical schematics, electrical conduit drawings, and bills of materials. Must be experienced with power tools, test equipment, gauges and hand tools used in conjunction with electrical panel building and machine wiring. High school graduate or equivalent.
Must be physically able to:
Lift 50 lbs. Work 4-5-hour periods with 10 minutes break. Be able to work in areas requiring bending, stooping, turning, twisting, etc.
Primary Duties:
Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, electrical conduit drawings and bills of materials. Panel Building - Layout and preparing of sub-plates for building electrical control panels, mounting of electrical components and wiring of such per electrical drawings. Machine Wiring - Layout and preparing of junction boxes, conduit, and electrical components, mounting of such, assemble wire harnesses and interconnecting of such as required to, and including, check out of circuits. Disconnect, clean and prepare controls, cabinets and electrical sub-assemblies for shipments.
Secondary Duties:
Diagnostic check-out of machine controls. Electrical troubleshooting and repair of machine tools, and equipment. Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisor.
