Let's be honest—anyone can wire a box or swap a panel. But can you restore peace of mind? Can you walk into someone's home, diagnose what's really going on, and leave them feeling confident about their space? As an Electric Install Technician at Wilson, you're not just installing equipment. You're solving problems that keep people up at night. You're the person who makes sure the lights stay on, the systems run smooth, and Northeast Ohio families feel safe in their homes. If you're ready to work for a company that respects your skills as much as your character, let's talk.
What You'll Do:
Handle planned maintenance and installations from start to finish—no one looking over your shoulder every five minutes Plan layouts and install electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specs and local codes Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components with precision and pride Test electrical systems using real diagnostic equipment (ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes)—not just guesswork Inspect systems to ensure safety and code compliance—because doing it right matters more than doing it fast Explain your work to customers in plain English—help them understand what you're fixing and why it matters Train and mentor apprentices who want to learn the trade the right way Keep your truck clean and organized—it's one of our best billboards, and it reflects the quality of work inside
What You'll Get:
Pay that reflects your skill: $20-$28/hour based on your experience, with yearly increases as you grow Full benefits package: Health, dental, and vision insurance (we cover 70% of premiums for you and your family) 401(k) with 3% company match Two weeks PTO after 90 days, plus 7 paid holidays $1,500 yearly education and training credit—because the best techs never stop learning The respect you deserve: No micromanagement. No treating you like a number. Just clear expectations, quality tools, and the support to do your best work. Career growth that's real: We promote based on skill and character, not politics or favoritism.
What We're Looking For:
The non-negotiables: High school diploma/GED 2+ years of hands-on electrical experience (service work preferred over just new construction) Deep knowledge of electrical systems maintenance and repair Current Ohio electrical codes and regulations Clean driving record and ability to pass drug testing Can lift 100 pounds and work in tight spaces when the job calls for it The stuff that really matters: You can explain technical problems to customers without talking down to them You take ownership when something goes wrong—and you learn from it You're curious about the "why," not just the "what" You'd rather do a job right than do it fast You see every service call as a chance to build trust, not just fix a problem
