Job Title:
Journeyman Electrician - $35/hr. This role offers an experienced journeyman electrician the opportunity to work primarily independently on a commercial job site. You will perform commercial electrical installations, including wall rough-ins, EMT conduit installation, and light fixture installation, while working closely with a foreman and following strict safety standards. The assignment runs approximately two months with the potential to transition to additional projects in nearby locations. Responsibilities Perform electrical wall rough-ins in a commercial hangar environment, ensuring work meets applicable codes and standards. Install EMT conduit (1/2 inch, 3/4 inch, and 1 inch) independently, including layout, bending, fastening, and securing runs as required. Install, mount, and wire light fixtures according to plans and specifications, verifying proper operation and alignment. Work safely at heights using appropriate fall protection equipment, including harnesses, lanyards, and beam straps. Collaborate with the foreman to review project plans, clarify requirements, and coordinate daily tasks while primarily working independently. Minimum of 2 years of true commercial electrical experience. Ability to run EMT conduit independently, including measuring, cutting, bending, and installing 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch, and 1 inch conduit. Journeyman-level electrical skills; journeyman status is preferred. Reliable attendance and ability to work the scheduled hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Additional Skills & Qualifications Candidate should have their own safety gear and tools Journeyman electrician credential or equivalent experience is preferred. Ability to read and interpret basic electrical plans and instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Versailles, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
