reviews Position Summary The Instrument and Electrical Installer is responsible for the installation of electrical systems, instrumentation, control devices, and related equipment in industrial, commercial, or manufacturing environments. This position requires the ability to read technical drawings, install conduit and wiring systems, mount instrumentation devices, and ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Install electrical equipment, conduit, cable tray, wiring, and associated support systems. Install and terminate power, control, and instrumentation cables. Mount and connect instrumentation devices including transmitters, switches, sensors, and control valves. Read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and wiring schematics. Perform cable pulling, cable routing, and wire terminations according to project specifications. Assist with calibration, testing, commissioning, and startup activities. Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems as required. Verify installations comply with company standards, customer specifications, and applicable electrical codes. Maintain accurate documentation of completed work. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and job site requirements. Coordinate activities with supervisors, project managers, and other trades to ensure efficient project execution. Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition. Perform other duties as assigned by the area supervisor Position Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High school diploma or GED. Experience in electrical, instrumentation, industrial construction, or related field. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Knowledge of electrical installation practices and instrumentation systems. Experience working with 12VDC and 24VDC electrical and control systems. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Position Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Comfortable working with 110/120VAC electrical systems and associated equipment. Journeyman's License Technical school, vocational training, or apprenticeship in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Industrial Maintenance. Experience with PLC, SCADA, or industrial control systems. NCCER Electrical and/or Instrumentation certification. Experience working in oil and gas, water treatment, manufacturing, food processing, or industrial facilities.
