Job Description
Pay is 55/hr. Must hold an active journeyman's license. Per diem is $100/day but if you work all 5 days, you get paid per diem for all 7 days. Referral Bonus if you refer others to work as well. Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team to travel and work in Oklahoma. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a variety of commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive electrical experience, including working with high and low voltage systems, reading schematics, and utilizing various hand and power tools. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, contribute to complex projects, and ensure electrical safety and compliance according to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in commercial and industrial settings. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise electrical installations. Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and power tools to complete tasks efficiently. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems to support automation projects. Conduct inspections of electrical systems for safety compliance with NEC standards; perform testing with tools like ohmmeters. Assist in renovation projects by updating or replacing existing electrical infrastructure. Collaborate with construction teams including frame carpenters and general contractors to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed; follow safety protocols rigorously on construction sites. Perform troubleshooting using schematics and technical manuals; identify issues related to high voltage or low voltage systems. Support handyman tasks as needed to ensure project completion within scope and schedule. Skills Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation controls. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of NEC regulations governing electrical installations; familiarity with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) systems. Ability to work effectively on construction sites; experience with renovation projects is advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills; capable of troubleshooting complex electrical issues efficiently. IND1
