In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovation to new construction, utilizing your technical skills and problem-solving abilities to deliver high-quality electrical solutions. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems in accordance with local electrical codes and the NEC (National Electrical Code). Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to NFPA 70 compliance standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify issues within complex electrical systems. Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on various systems including low voltage controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial electrical systems. Install and maintain high-voltage electrical wiring for industrial machinery or infrastructure projects. Follow strict electrical safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment on construction sites or renovation projects. Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately for installation or repair work. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman services to complete projects efficiently. Experience Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems. Demonstrated knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards and local electrical codes. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting complex systems, and performing repairs in fast-paced environments. Familiarity with industrial electrical systems including high-voltage wiring, low voltage controls, PLCs, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation. Construction site experience involving installation, renovation, or maintenance of electrical infrastructure. Ability to read technical schematics accurately and work from detailed blueprints or schematics. Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills; testing equipment like ohmmeters; and safety gear for high-voltage work. Knowledge of electrical safety procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards during all phases of work. Additional handyman or frame carpentry experience is a plus for versatile project support.
