Job Summary:
Marina duties might include cleaning, repairing and maintaining docks. Boat Yard duties range from sanding, painting, buffing, waxing and detailing to more technical service work and light duty mechanical. On The Job Training available to the right candidate. You must be confident and comfortable working with tools at various heights and spaces while observing all safety measures. You must be reliable, have own transportation (due to infrequent and lack of public transit) and possess great attention to detail in completing your duties. The goal is to deliver high-quality work and customer service while feeling a sense of accomplishment and team comradery. Significant Physical Abilities needed include Working over the water on uneven and sometimes high surfaces, frequent lifting/carrying/pulling, bending/stooping/ kneeling/crouching/twisting; reaching/handling/manual dexterity, talking/hearing conversations, visual acuity/depth perception with or without visual accommodation. Daily physical expectations include, being on feet for long periods of the day, using all types of tools and working with hands all day, being on back making repairs, or performing maintenance and/or inspections on systems. Must be able to work in small spaces and climb ladders as needed. Lifting all types of weight, occasionally up to 80 pounds. Work is year-round, mostly outside with exposure to the elements for long periods of time. If you have skillset beyond this, such as Mechanical, we have additional job opportunities that require additional technical skills and experience.
