GED Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Facilities Technician with electrical experience to join our team! As a Facilities Electrician Lead, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems within our facility. Your primary goal is to ensure efficient operation of electrical systems, conducting preventive maintenance, and responding to emergency repairs to minimize downtime and create a comfortable and safe environment for our employees and tenants.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Lead all electrical work in the building and be on the leadership team on all projects. (needs of the facility, our tenant requests, requests from TESCO and all upcoming projects). This includes identifying the scope of each request, building a plan for the work and the materials needed. Be part of the leadership team with the scheduling for each project request based upon the needs of the requestor, and the needs of management. Become the Safety Leader for the team to maintain and assure adherence to our safety policies, SOPs, and work instructions. Working with the team, build the team members around you to meet the schedule and plan of the work in the time period agreed to.
Other Job Responsibilities:
Inspect and maintain electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, motors, and control systems. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment. Replace or repair faulty components such as switches, relays, and circuit breakers Diagnose electrical issues and develop effective solutions. Use electrical testing equipment to identify and repair electrical malfunctions. Respond to emergency electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime. Assist in the installation of new electrical systems and equipment. Upgrade existing electrical systems to meet current standards and improve efficiency. Collaborate with contractors and other technicians during installations and upgrades. Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards. Document facilities maintenance requirements, maintains appropriate records of work performed, Assist with general maintenance tasks as needed, including plumbing, HVAC, and construction. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency repairs. Support facilities projects and initiatives as required. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
HS Diploma or equivalent Must have electrical experience. Must be able to lift over 50 pounds. Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time. Must be available for building emergencies. Ability to follow directions and procedures. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
