U Electrician Hot Job Hanover, PA 17331; Hanover, PA 17331 Apply Overview Job Shift Any Apply Description The duties listed below are representative of the types of responsibilities required for the role. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the organization: Diagnoses, repairs, and maintains electrical systems, including motors, control panels, conveyors, packaging equipment, and utility systems. Performs scheduled PMs on electrical components to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Uses meters, testing devices, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes of electrical failures and implement corrective actions. Assists with PLC troubleshooting, input/output verification, sensor calibration, and basic programming adjustments as needed. Installs new electrical equipment, wiring, conduit, and control systems in accordance with NEC and plant standards. Follows NFPA 70E, LOTO, arc ‑ flash protocols, and all food ‑ safety requirements to maintain a safe working environment. Ensures electrical work supports GMPs, sanitary design, and equipment conditions required for safe food production. Maintains accurate logs of repairs, PMs, parts usage, and electrical changes in the CMMS. Partners with Production, QA, and Maintenance teams to resolve issues quickly and support continuous operations. Assists with oversight of electrical contractors to ensure work meets plant standards and regulatory requirements. Recommends upgrades, process improvements, and reliability enhancements for electrical systems. Performs additional tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Formal electrical training, apprenticeship, or technical certification required; State or journeyman electrician license preferred. Demonstrated experience in industrial or manufacturing electrical work required; experience in food or beverage manufacturing preferred. Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, and food safety compliance preferred. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems, PLCs, sensors, motors, and control circuits. Strong understanding of NFPA 70E, NEC, and lockout/tagout procedures. Strong communication and documentation skills. Strong multitasking abilities with the capacity to remain focused and organized in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Willingness and ability to work overtime or modified schedules as required by business needs. Commitment to practicing safe work habits and adhering to all company and regulatory safety protocols.
