May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.
Solar ElectricianPosition Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Solar Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential solar photovoltaic (PV) electrical systems. The ideal candidate has strong electrical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe, high-quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities Install and wire solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, disconnects, panels, and related electrical equipment. Perform electrical connections, terminations, grounding, and conduit installation. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and system layouts. Troubleshoot and repair solar and electrical system issues. Test systems to verify proper operation, safety, and code compliance. Perform maintenance and inspections on existing solar installations. Follow NEC, OSHA, and applicable local electrical and building codes. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and other trades. Complete job documentation and report equipment or installation issues. Qualifications Electrical or solar installation experience preferred. Knowledge of residential and/or commercial electrical systems. Familiarity with solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, and electrical components. Ability to use electrical testing equipment and hand/power tools. Ability to read electrical plans and wiring diagrams. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work outdoors, climb ladders, and lift equipment as required. Must follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements. Preferred Certifications Journeyman Electrician license or applicable electrical license. NABCEP certification is a plus.
