Overview Now Hiring:
Campus Electrician Join the team at Thompson Facility Services and help maintain safe, reliable, and efficient electrical systems across a dynamic college campus environment. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and dependable Electrician to support the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of campus electrical systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and contributing to a safe learning environment for students, faculty, and staff. Responsibilities Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment Perform preventative maintenance on lighting, panels, wiring, and campus facilities Respond to electrical service calls and emergency repairs Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams Ensure all work complies with electrical codes and safety standards Collaborate with maintenance and facilities teams on campus projects Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities Qualifications Valid Electrician License or Journeyman certification preferred Minimum 3 years of electrical experience in commercial or institutional settings Knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and safety procedures Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to lift equipment and work in various indoor/outdoor environments Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Standing, walking, bending, and operating equipment for extended periods
