  • Overview:
  • Adecco is seeking an experienced
  • Electrical Specialist
  • to join a team at the New Castle Generating Station in West Pittsburg, PA.
This is a direct hire opportunity driven by a planned retirement, offering long-term stability at a modernized natural gas facility. Originally a coal plant, the station was transformed in 2016 into a natural gas facility and now operates with three gas-fired steam boilers, producing up to 328 MW. The site utilizes B&W Boilers, Westinghouse Steam Turbine Generators, and an ABB DCS control system.
  • Position Summary:
  • The Electrical Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining plant reliability and safety. This position is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of electrical systems including motors, generators, transformers, and high-voltage equipment. This role also supports preventive maintenance, emergency response, and electrical safety initiatives.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • + Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment + Work on motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, and control systems + Perform maintenance on high-voltage systems (480V-13.
8KV) and switchyard equipment + Execute electrical isolations following established safety procedures + Support and promote electrical safety programs and training + Assist with preventive maintenance and respond to plant emergencies as needed + Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with team members
  • Qualifications:
  • + High school diploma or trade school certification (or equivalent) + Minimum 4 years of journeyman electrician experience preferred + Experience in power generation or heavy industrial environments strongly preferred + Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and repair + Experience working with high-voltage equipment and safety protocols + Ability to interpret technical procedures and instructions + Strong organizational and computer skills + Valid driver's license required •Why Join Adecco?
