An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.
Our client is currently seeking a Sr. Electrical Technician for thier Manfacturing facility near Rochester PA (Pittsburgh Area). The Sr. Electrical Tech will provide electrical & mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation support for all blending processes, high-speed packaging machines, and related equipment & infrastructure. This includes pumps, flow meters, fillers, palletizers, depalletizers, carton formers, gluers, piping, conduit, lighting, motors, fire suppression systems, HVAC, and PLCs. Fillers, cappers, labelers, case packers, date coders and palletizers, etc. Work with automated controls; photo eyes, limit switches, pneumatic solenoids and cylinders Trouble shooting equipment, preventative maintenance and routine adjustments Working on rotating equipment; pumps, compressors, motors, drives, conveyors. Disassembly, replacing worn parts, replacing gaskets and/or packing, alignments PLC knowledge and familiarity, Allan Bradley and Siemen's a big plus Facility maintenance - boiler, water system, compressed air, lighting, exhaust fans, make up air units.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Vocational or Technical School Graduate | Degree in Electrical Engineering Certified Electrician Highly Preferred Need working knowledge of liquid filling, metering systems & conveyors, 120v and 480v equipment. 5+ years experience in industrial manufacturing - preferably high speed manufacturing Previous experience in manufacturing environment.
