The Electrical Technician plays a key role in producing high-quality electrical assemblies and systems that our customers rely on. Consistent delivery of well-executed solutions strengthens customer relationships and supports continued business growth.
This role is critical to maintaining project schedules. Timely completion of assigned work ensures downstream processes can operate efficiently and allows NCC to meet commitments to customers.
Strong communication is essential. The Electrical Technician must provide accurate and timely updates on work status, risks, and timelines to foremen, team leaders, and managers, enabling effective coordination in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
In addition, this role frequently involves working at customer sites during installation. Professionalism, respect, and strong interpersonal skills are essential, as this position represents NCC to customers and partners.
Given the nature of a project-based business, flexibility, teamwork, and problem-solving are critical, as unexpected technical challenges, schedule changes, and scope adjustments can arise. Job Responsibilities Perform preparation, assembly, wiring, and testing of electrical systems and components for NCC projects
Complete electrical work including (but not limited to): Panel wiring
Power wiring
System wiring
I/O wiring
Troubleshooting and diagnostics Perform work accurately within established project timelines and budget expectations
Communicate with foreman, engineers, and managers to understand work scope, priorities, and expectations
Proactively communicate issues affecting quality, schedule, or performance, and support resolution
Travel to customer sites to install, commission, and support NCC equipment
Follow all safety requirements, ergonomics guidelines, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Maintain a positive and professional attitude both internally and at customer facilities
Share ideas with leadership to improve processes, quality, and efficiency
Support general maintenance tasks as assigned by the Foreman or Manufacturing Manager
Document any changes made during manufacturing and provide feedback to engineering
Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition Key Result Areas High-quality electrical and system assemblies completed to specification
