Job Description

Heidelberg Materials seeks an Industrial Electrician to support Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management in a heavy industrial construction materials environment. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain plant power distribution, motors, PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems to maximize reliability and safety. Responsibilities include electrical maintenance, diagnostics, and upgrades on production equipment, interpreting schematics, and ensuring NEC and
NFPA 70E
compliance. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, support continuous improvement, and uphold our safety-focused, sustainable, and performance-driven culture while helping deliver critical infrastructure. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical equipment and plant power systems Maintain and optimize PLCs, VFDs, motors, and control systems to maximize uptime Perform preventative and predictive electrical maintenance on production assets Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation Ensure compliance with safety standards, NEC, and
NFPA 70 E
; lead LOTO practices Support reliability, continuous improvement, and capital projects with electrical expertise Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to resolve issues Document work performed and update CMMS and electrical drawings as required Assist with commissioning, upgrades, and optimization of automation systems Identify and recommend improvements to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency Required Skills Industrial electrical systems PLC troubleshooting and programming VFDs and motor controls Reading electrical schematics Preventive and predictive maintenance Industrial automation and controls Instrumentation and calibration Lockout/Tagout procedures
