Job Description
Commercial/Industrial Electrician Summit Service Solutions exists to put skilled tradespeople on the work that actually moves projects and plants forward. For close to a decade we've placed electricians on commercial builds and manufacturing floors across Pennsylvania and beyond. This role is how we keep those sites safe, code-compliant, and on schedule—your installs, troubleshooting, and coordination decide whether power, lighting, and production equipment go live without delay. Performance Objectives Install EMT, rigid, IMC, and flex conduit; bend and fabricate runs so layouts match prints and stay on the critical path. Pull, terminate, and land branch and feeder conductors; mount panels, disconnects, transformers, switchgear, lighting, and devices so systems pass first inspection. Read blueprints, one-lines, and schematics; lay out work and coordinate with other trades to prevent rework and keep the job moving. Test circuits and equipment, troubleshoot faults, and restore industrial power, motors, VFDs, and control wiring to minimize downtime. Wire and verify PLC-related field devices, sensors, and control panels so commissioned equipment runs as specified. Verify every install against NEC, OSHA, and LOTO requirements and leave a clean, organized work area every shift. Environment & Resources You work first shift on long-term commercial construction and industrial manufacturing sites (plants, packaging, food & beverage, and similar). You report through Summit's recruiting and field team, bring standard hand tools and required PPE, and work alongside other trades and plant maintenance. Pay is $25-$35/hour based on demonstrated skill. Drug-free workplace; valid license and reliable transportation required. We reserve our top pay rates of $33-$35/hr for candidates who hold a current Journeyman Electrician license. Essential Qualifications Five-plus years commercial electrical construction or six-plus years industrial/manufacturing electrical experience, including EMT bending and conduit installation. Ability to interpret prints, schematics, and wiring diagrams and apply NEC in the field. Comfort installing and troubleshooting motors, VFDs, panels, and production equipment; PLC/field-device wiring a plus. Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work safely in active construction or production environments. Own standard electrical tools and OSHA-compliant PPE (hard hat, ANSI glasses, hi-vis, long pants, safety-toe boots, gloves, hearing protection). Authorized to work in the U.S.; pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Journeyman/Master license preferred. Role Selling Points Steady, first-shift work with competitive hourly pay tied to what you can actually do on the job. 401(k) with match, PTO, holiday pay, health insurance, and supplemental life/disability coverage. $1,500 referral bonuses and a company that treats electricians as career partners, not disposable labor. Variety of commercial and industrial sites without bouncing between fly-by-night contractors. or call recruiting at 717-626-4410. Bring your tools, your ticket, and the work you've already proven you can finish right.
